Which nonprofits are available?
Change Donations has partnered directly with each charity on our platform to ensure that they are registered with the Irish Charities Regulator, in good standing and can provide insight into your donation. You can search a full list of our partner charities in the charity selection section during the signup process, or by clicking on 'Add Charities' button in the 'My Charity' section of your donor dashboard. If there is a charity you would like to see added to our list of charity partners, please let us know by chatting to us or sending us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.

Change Donations works for all transactions made on your linked account, whether that is online or at a physical location. You will see your transactions appear in your account once your bank has processed the payment and sent it to us (typically 3 business days).
What types of accounts does Change Donations support?
Change Donations works with major banks and credit unions in Ireland. We are working hard behind the scenes to support additional banks. How is my round-up calculated?
When you make a purchase with your linked credit or debit card the ‘change’ calculated by rounding up your purchase amount to the nearest whole euro. For example, you buy a cup of coffee for €2.85, we will round up to the nearest euro, donating the €0.15 in change to the organisation(s) that you support.
What is the average round-up amount?
This will vary according to how many transactions you make, but Change Donations users so far are making around 25 transactions per week with an average round up of about €0.35.
How do I make sure I don’t send too much money per month?
You can set a daily, weekly or monthly limit on your roundup donations. If you have set a limit, your transactions will automatically stop rounding up once you’ve hit the limit you have set. Since we round up once a week, if you ever decide that you don’t want to round up a transaction, simply go to the transaction section in your dashboard and click ‘cancel’ next to any 'pending' transaction that you don’t want to round up on. This will change the status from 'pending' to 'canceled'.

How does my donation work with Revenue?
The organisations that you support are able to claim the tax you have paid on your donations made through Change Donations once you have donated €250 for the year. You simply fill out the Revenue form and post it back to Revenue.
If you are donating to a sports club, these donations are tax deductible and you may be eligible for tax deductions to the extent permitted by law. We aren’t lawyers and can’t give you legal or tax advice, but the sports club that you have donated to should provide you with a tax receipt at the end of the year.
